Who Are the Three Percenters?

Imagine a group of people who really care about their freedoms, especially the freedom to own things like toys and tools (which for them means guns!). They call themselves the 'Three Percenters'. They believe that only a small number of people fought against the King a long, long time ago, and they want to be like those brave fighters.

They think it's important for people to be ready to stand up if they think the government is being unfair.

Where Did This Idea Come From?

This idea started bubbling up around 2008 and 2009, a time when lots of people were thinking about rules and how the government works. One person, Mike Vanderboegh, wrote about it. He was very interested in people being able to have guns.

The name 'Three Percenter' comes from a story that only 3 out of every 100 people in America fought against the British a long time ago. They use a special flag with a Roman numeral 'III' on it, which means three!

What Do They Believe?

The Three Percenters believe that people should always be ready to protect their rights. They think that if the government makes rules they don't agree with, people should be able to say 'no'. They really like the idea of people owning guns.

Sometimes, they get together and wear special clothes, like military outfits, to show they are serious about their beliefs. They want to make sure everyone remembers to be strong and protect what they think is right.

Cool Facts About the Three Percenters!

Did you know that some people who are part of the police or the army have also been part of the Three Percenters? They also have a symbol, a flag that looks like the old American flag but with a big 'III' in the middle! They think this symbol shows they are special protectors. They also sometimes use the internet to share their ideas with lots of other people who agree with them.
