For months and months, the English soldiers surrounded the city of Orléans. They built forts and tried to stop anyone from getting in or out. It felt like the city was trapped! The people inside were worried they would lose their homes and their country. The English army was very strong, and it looked like they would win the battle.

Joan of Arc to the Rescue!

Then, something amazing happened! A young woman named Joan of Arc arrived. She was very brave and believed she was sent to help France. When Joan arrived, the French soldiers felt inspired and started fighting with new energy! It was like a superhero showing up! Just nine days after she got there, the English army suddenly gave up and left!

France Gets Its Sparkle Back!

The victory at Orléans was like a giant turning point! It gave the French people hope and made them believe they could win the war. After this, the French army started winning battles and taking back the parts of France that the English had captured. The Siege of Orléans showed everyone that even when things look bad, bravery and hope can change everything!
