For over 50 years, he shared news with people, making sure everyone knew what was happening far away. He even helped people understand what was going on in places like Afghanistan, which is very far from Scotland where he was from.
From Scotland to the World!
Sandy Gall started his news adventures in a city called Aberdeen in Scotland. First, he helped put the news stories together, like making sure all the words were just right. Then, he became a foreign correspondent, which means he went to other countries to report the news!
He worked for a big news agency called Reuters, telling stories from 1953 to 1963. That’s a whole decade of adventures before he even joined ITN, where he became a famous newscaster!
