Vatican City: The Tiniest Country in the World!

Vatican City is like a secret garden hidden inside the big city of Rome, in Italy! It’s so small, you could walk across it in just a few minutes. It’s like having your own country right in the middle of another country. It’s the smallest country on the whole planet, even smaller than a big park!

Only about 882 people live here, which is less than the number of kids in a big school! The most important person is the Pope, who is like the leader of all Catholics around the world. Many people who live here are priests and nuns who work for the Catholic Church. It’s a very special place where everyone has a job to do for their community.

Vatican City has some of the most famous art in the world! The Sistine Chapel has a ceiling painted by Michelangelo that tells amazing stories. There are also incredible museums filled with statues and paintings. St. Peter's Basilica is a giant church that looks like a castle, and it’s super tall!
