Rajendra Prasad

He was a very smart man who loved learning and was a great lawyer. He even met Mahatma Gandhi, a super important leader who wanted India to be free from other countries ruling it. Rajendra Prasad helped make India a strong and independent place for everyone.

Rajendra Prasad was born a long, long time ago, in 1884. He grew up and became a lawyer, which means he knew a lot about rules. When India was trying to become its own country, he joined a group called the Indian National Congress.

He was so brave that he was even put in jail by the British rulers for standing up for India! He was like a superhero fighting for his home country's freedom. He also helped make sure India had enough food to eat.

After India became free, Rajendra Prasad did something super important. He helped write the Constitution of India. This is like the rulebook for the whole country, explaining how everything should work.

It's a very big and important job! Then, he was chosen to be the very first President of India. He served for a super long time, about 12 years, which is longer than you've been in school!

He made sure the President was fair and didn't take sides.

Rajendra Prasad was so respected that he was chosen as President not just once, but twice! He was the only president to do that. He cared a lot about making sure everyone in India got a good education.
