This was like posting a notice on a bulletin board for everyone to see! Many people agreed with him, and this started a huge movement. It wasn't a war, but it was a big disagreement that led to new churches forming.

This time of change is often called the Reformation.

Protestantism has had a HUGE impact on the world! It helped people think more about their own beliefs and how they could connect with God. It also led to more schools and universities being built so people could learn to read the Bible themselves.

Think of it like opening up a library for everyone! This focus on learning and individual thought helped shape many countries and cultures, influencing how people live, govern themselves, and even how they create art and music.

While there are many kinds of Protestants, most believe that the Bible is the most important guide for faith and life. They also believe that people can have a direct relationship with God without needing someone else to speak for them. Many Protestants also celebrate holidays like Christmas and Easter, remembering the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
