North Sinai Governorate

North Sinai Governorate is a super special part of Egypt, way up in the northeast corner. It's like the northern half of a giant triangle called the Sinai Peninsula. To the north, it tickles the big, blue Mediterranean Sea.

On the other sides, it has neighbors like South Sinai, other Egyptian lands, and even the Gaza Strip and Israel! The main city here, where the leader lives, is called El Arish. It's a place full of sunshine and interesting sights.

This land is so old, it has stories from way back when dinosaurs might have roamed (okay, maybe not dinosaurs, but ancient people!). There are old towns like Ostrakine and Kasion that were like border guards between Egypt and other places. There's also Kadesh Barnea, a place mentioned in very old stories, like the Bible.

It's like walking through a giant history book where every step tells a tale of people who lived here thousands of years ago.

Even though North Sinai is HUGE, about as big as a very large playground, not too many people live there. Imagine a giant field where only a few families have homes spread out. That's a bit like North Sinai! Most of the people who live here are from Bedouin tribes, who have lived in the desert for a very, very long time. They know all the secrets of the sand and the stars.

North Sinai is a place where the past and present meet. It's a land of beautiful beaches by the Mediterranean Sea and wide-open spaces. The people here have a deep connection to their land and traditions.
