The Ninety-five Theses: A Big Challenge!

A thesis is like a big idea or a statement you want to discuss. The Ninety-five Theses were 95 statements written by a monk named Martin Luther. He thought some things the church was doing were wrong, like selling special papers called 'indulgences' that people thought would get them into heaven.

Martin Luther believed that only God could forgive sins, not a piece of paper! He wanted people to talk about these ideas.

On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther did something super brave. He nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the door of a church in a town called Wittenberg, in Germany. It was like posting a notice for everyone to see and read. He wasn't trying to be mean, but he really wanted the church leaders to listen and change their ways. This act was like a spark that started a huge fire of change!
