Natural landscape

A natural landscape is like Earth's original artwork! It's the land before people built houses, roads, or farms. Think of a forest with tall trees, a big sandy beach, or a rocky mountain. These places are shaped by wind, rain, and sunshine, not by us. It's a place where animals and plants live just as they always have, in a world that feels wild and untouched.

People have been changing the land for a very, very long time. But the idea of a 'natural landscape' is newer. Long ago, artists and gardeners started noticing how beautiful wild places were. They wanted to paint them or make their gardens look more like nature. Later, scientists began to think about how different the land looked when people changed it compared to when it was wild.

Natural landscapes are like Earth's lungs and pantry! They give us clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. They are homes for millions of animals and plants, helping them survive. Even though it's hard to find places completely untouched by people now, these wild spots are still super special. They remind us of how amazing our planet is and why we need to protect it.

Think of a giant waterfall crashing down, or a desert with sand dunes stretching for miles. These are natural landscapes! Even a simple patch of grass by the road, before it's sprayed with chemicals, can be a mini natural landscape. It might have pretty flowers and buzzing insects. These places show us the incredible power and beauty of nature all around us.
