N. R. Narayana Murthy

Nagavara Ramarao Narayana Murthy was born on August 20, 1946, in Shidlaghatta, Karnataka. His early life and education laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. He earned a Master of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

His initial professional roles were pivotal in shaping his understanding of computing and systems. He served as a chief systems programmer at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, a prestigious institution, where he was instrumental in developing the institute's computer center. Following this, he worked at Patni Computer Systems in Pune.
