Muhajir (Pakistan)

The Muhajir people are like super travelers! They are Muslims who moved from India to Pakistan a long, long time ago, right after Pakistan became its own country in 1947. They came from different parts of India, bringing their own special traditions and languages.

Now, they and their children and grandchildren are a big part of Pakistan, especially in busy cities like Karachi. It’s like a big family reunion that spans a whole country!

Think about moving from one house to another. The Muhajir people made an even bigger move! They left their homes in India to find a new home in Pakistan. This happened because India and Pakistan became separate countries. Many people chose to move to Pakistan to start fresh. It was a brave journey for many families, and they worked hard to build new lives in their new country.

The Muhajir people are super important because they helped build Pakistan! When they arrived, they brought their skills and energy. They helped build schools, businesses, and cities. Many of them settled in Karachi, which is now Pakistan's biggest city. Their hard work and dedication made Pakistan a stronger and more vibrant place. They are a big part of Pakistan's story!

That’s more people than live in some whole countries! Most of them, about 14.7 million, live in Pakistan. That’s a lot of people who have made Pakistan their home and are part of its amazing culture.
