Meet the Giant Mountain!

Mount Nebo is a big, bumpy hill in a country called Jordan. It's like a super-tall playground slide, about 700 meters (that's like 70 school buses stacked up!) high. It's part of a longer line of hills called the Abarim mountains. From the very top, you can see for miles and miles, like looking out of an airplane window!

A Special View from the Top!

Long, long ago, a very important person named Moses stood on Mount Nebo. The Bible says he was shown a beautiful land from this spot, a place called the Promised Land. Even today, if you stand on Mount Nebo on a clear day, you can see across a big valley to another place called the West Bank. Sometimes, you can even see the city of Jericho!

What Can You See?

From the top of Mount Nebo, the view is amazing! You can see a big river called the Jordan River. If the sky is super clear, you might even see the city of Jerusalem, which is very far away. There's also an old town nearby called Nebo, but it's not on the mountain itself. It's like having a giant telescope on top of the hill!

A Place in the Mountains

Mount Nebo is a special place because it's part of a mountain range, which is like a long chain of hills. It's not a super snowy mountain, but it's high up and gives you a great view. People have visited this mountain for a very, very long time because of the amazing things you can see from its peak.
