Who Was Joshua?
Imagine a super-spy who was also a great leader! That was Joshua. His real name was Hoshea, which means 'Save'. But Moses, a very important leader, changed his name to Yehoshua, which means 'Yahweh is salvation'. It's like getting a cool nickname! Joshua was born a long, long time ago, even before his people left Egypt. He was Moses' helper and learned a lot from him.
A Spy's Big Mission!
Before Joshua became a leader, he was part of a super-secret mission! Moses sent twelve spies, and Joshua was one of them. Their job was to explore a new land called Canaan. It was like being a detective for a whole country! Joshua and his partner were the only ones who believed they could win and find a good home for everyone. They were super brave!
Leading the Way!
After Moses passed away, it was Joshua's turn to be the main leader. He bravely led his people into the land of Canaan. It was a huge adventure, like moving to a brand new neighborhood! Joshua helped his people conquer the land and then made sure everyone got their own special piece of it. He was a fair leader who made sure everyone had a home.

Joshua is remembered as a very important person. He was a great leader for his people, helping them find a new home. Even today, people remember Joshua as a hero. He showed everyone what it means to be brave, to follow instructions, and to lead with kindness. He lived to be 110 years old, which is super old!
