Jane Seymour

Imagine a queen who was married to a very famous king named Henry VIII. That was Jane Seymour! She became queen after the king's second wife was no longer queen. Jane was married to King Henry VIII for a little while, and she had a baby boy who was very important. She was a queen for a short time, but she made a big impression.

Being queen was a very important job, especially back then. Jane Seymour's main job was to have a son for King Henry VIII. This was super important because kings needed sons to take over the kingdom after them. Jane was successful! She had a son named Edward. This made her very special to the king, even though she didn't live to see him grow up.

Sadly, Queen Jane didn't get to be queen for very long. She died not too long after her baby, Prince Edward, was born. It was because she got sick after giving birth. Even though she was only queen for a short time, she was the only wife of King Henry VIII to get a special queen's funeral. King Henry VIII was even buried next to her later!

Jane Seymour is remembered as the queen who gave King Henry VIII his much-wanted son. Her son, Edward, became the next king. Jane's story is a little sad because she died so young, but she is still remembered as a queen. She is buried in a very grand place called St. George's Chapel. It's like a special resting place for kings and queens.
