Jagannath: The Lord of the Universe!

Jagannath is a super special statue, like a king or a lord, who is worshipped in India. He's not alone, though! He has a brother named Balabhadra and a sister named Subhadra. Together, they are like a royal family. Many people believe Jagannath is a form of Krishna, who is a very important god. He's like the boss of the whole universe, which is why he's called 'Lord of the Universe'!

Nobody is exactly sure how Jagannath first appeared, which makes him even more mysterious! Some people think he might have come from very, very old stories, maybe even from tribal traditions. It's like finding a treasure that's been hidden for a long time.

Over many years, people started worshipping him in a special way, and his temple in a city called Puri became super famous, like a giant playground for gods!

Jagannath is special because he's not just for one group of people. Everyone can love him! His temple in Puri is HUGE, taller than a 20-story building! And guess what? His statue is made of wood and gets a new one every few years. This is super unusual! Also, the word 'juggernaut' in English, meaning something big and unstoppable, comes from Jagannath's amazing chariot parades!

Every year, there's a giant party called the Ratha Yatra, or Chariot Festival! Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are put on enormous wooden chariots, like giant toy cars. Then, hundreds of thousands of people pull these chariots through the streets to another temple. It's a massive parade, and people come from all over to see it. It’s like the biggest, most exciting parade you can imagine!
