Universe

The Universe is everything! It’s all the stars you see twinkling at night, the Sun that warms us, and even the tiny dust specks floating in the air. It’s so big, it makes your head spin! Think of it like a super-duper, never-ending playground with billions and billions of toys, like planets and stars, all playing together.

Scientists think the Universe started with a HUGE bang, called the Big Bang, a super long time ago. It was like a tiny dot that suddenly exploded outwards, creating all the space and everything in it. It’s still growing bigger, like a balloon being blown up, pushing galaxies further apart.

Inside the Universe, there are amazing things! There are stars, which are like giant, fiery balls of gas, and planets that go around them, like Earth! There are also huge groups of stars called galaxies, and our home is in the Milky Way galaxy. Some galaxies are shaped like spirals, and others are like messy blobs!

The Universe is important because it’s our home! Everything we know, from the air we breathe to the ground we walk on, is part of it. Studying the Universe helps us understand where we came from and maybe even if there are other homes for us out there. It’s full of mysteries waiting to be discovered!
