Imhotep

Imagine a person who was like a superhero in ancient Egypt! That was Imhotep. He lived a super long time ago, even before the dinosaurs were gone! He was a very important advisor to a king named Djoser. People thought he was so clever that they even built giant pyramids for him. He was like the king's right-hand man, helping him with big decisions and amazing projects.

Imhotep was probably the architect, like the head builder, for the very first pyramid. It was called the Step Pyramid because it looked like giant steps going up to the sky! It was so tall, it was like stacking 10 school buses on top of each other. This was a huge deal because before this, people just built flat tombs. Imhotep's idea was totally new and super impressive!

After Imhotep lived, people remembered him for thousands of years. They told stories about how wise he was and how he knew all sorts of secrets. Eventually, people thought he was so special that they started worshipping him! They built temples and offered him gifts, treating him like a god. It's like if your favorite teacher became a superhero everyone admired forever.

Later on, people believed Imhotep was also a fantastic doctor. They thought he could heal people and help them when they were sick. So, he wasn't just a builder and a wise person, but also a healer! It's amazing to think that someone from so long ago is still remembered for being so smart and helpful. He's one of the few non-royal people in Egypt to become a god!
