Hungary

Hungary is a country in Europe that doesn't touch any oceans, like a big island in the middle of the land! It's surrounded by other countries like Slovakia, Ukraine, and Austria. Most of Hungary is flat, like a giant playground, with lots of rivers, especially the super-long Danube River. It's a great place for growing yummy things like fruits and vegetables.

Long, long ago, brave warriors called the Magyars came to Hungary. They built a kingdom that became super strong! For a while, Hungary was split into different parts, like a cake cut into slices, because of big wars. But then, they became one country again. They even had a king named Stephen who made Hungary a Christian land.

People in Hungary speak a special language called Hungarian, which is very unique! Their capital city is called Budapest, and it's famous for its beautiful buildings and bridges that cross the Danube River. Hungarians love music and dancing, and they have delicious food like goulash, a hearty stew. It's a place with lots of traditions!

Kids in Hungary go to school to learn all sorts of things, and school is free for everyone! Grown-ups have many jobs, like making cars or farming the land. Hungary is also a popular place for tourists to visit and see its castles and enjoy its culture. They are part of a big team of countries called the European Union.
