Greater Toronto Area

The Greater Toronto Area, or GTA for short, is like a big hug around the city of Toronto, right next to a huge lake called Lake Ontario. It stretches from a town called Burlington in the west all the way to Clarington in the east. It's made up of Toronto and four other big areas: Durham, Halton, Peel, and York. Think of it as a collection of many towns and cities all playing together!

Guess what? Millions and millions of people call the GTA home! It's the busiest place in all of Canada. If you counted everyone in all the towns and cities, it's more than 6.7 million people! That's like filling up a giant stadium more than 100 times! It's a super popular place for people to live and have fun.

The GTA is a place where people from all over the world come to live. This means you can find yummy food from everywhere, hear lots of different languages, and celebrate cool traditions. It's like a giant party with people from every country! Everyone works together to make the GTA a special and exciting place to be.

People in the GTA do all sorts of jobs! Some people work in tall buildings in the city, some work in shops, and others help grow food on farms just outside the cities. There are also lots of schools where kids learn new things every day. It's a busy place where everyone has something important to do!
