Meet the Big Meeting Room!

The European Parliament is like a super-big classroom where grown-ups from 27 different countries meet. They talk about rules and laws that affect everyone in these countries. It's a place where ideas are shared, and decisions are made, kind of like when your class votes on what game to play at recess, but for a whole continent!

How Do They Get There?

Every five years, people in these countries get to choose who will represent them. This is called voting! It's like picking your favorite superhero to go on a mission. The people chosen are called MEPs, and they come from all over Europe to meet and work together. It’s a very important job!

Why Does It Matter?

This big meeting room helps make sure things are fair for everyone in the European Union. They decide on important things like protecting our planet, making sure toys are safe, and helping people travel easily between countries. It’s like having a team of grown-ups looking out for all the kids in a very large neighborhood.

Where Do They Meet?

The Parliament has two main places where they work. One is in a city called Strasbourg, in France, where they have big meetings. The other is in Brussels, Belgium, where they do a lot of their planning and committee work. It’s like having a main classroom and a special project room!
