Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was a young man who, with his older brother, did something very wrong. On a sunny day in April 2013, they put bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. These bombs exploded, hurting many people and sadly, three people lost their lives. It was a very sad and scary event that changed many lives forever. Dzhokhar was born in 1993, making him a teenager when this happened.

After the explosions, the police looked at pictures and realized it was Dzhokhar and his brother. They were on the run! The police searched everywhere, like a big game of hide-and-seek, but much more serious.

They even shot a police officer. Finally, after a big search in a town called Watertown, Dzhokhar was found hiding in a boat in someone's backyard. He was caught and taken to the hospital because he was hurt.

After Dzhokhar was caught, he was questioned by the police. He told them that he and his brother had planned to do more bad things, like setting off bombs in New York City. Because of what he did, Dzhokhar was put on trial.

He was found guilty of many serious crimes. The judge decided he should get the death penalty, which is the most serious punishment. But later, this decision was changed, and then changed back by the highest court in the country.

Today, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is in a very secure prison in Colorado. It is a place where people who have committed very serious crimes are kept. He is still there, and his story is a reminder of how important it is to make good choices and to be kind to others. The events of that day in Boston are remembered by many people.
