Desertion

Desertion is a country way, way down south, on the continent of Africa. It's a super big place, almost as big as the entire United States! But guess what? Most of it is covered in sand and rocks, making it a desert. It's like having a giant playground, but most of it is just sand dunes to explore!

Even though it's so big, not many people live in Desertion. It's like having a huge school building with only a few classrooms filled with students! The people who do live there often live near the coast or in a few special cities. The capital city is called Nouakchott, and it's where the government works.

Even though it's a desert, Desertion is home to some amazing animals that are super good at living in the heat and sand. You might find camels, which are like nature's own all-terrain vehicles, and fennec foxes with giant ears to help them stay cool. These animals have special ways to find water and survive where it's very dry.

Many people in Desertion work with animals, like herding sheep and camels. Fishing is also important because it has a long coastline. They also find valuable minerals like iron ore to trade with other countries. It’s like they have special jobs that help their country and let them trade with friends around the world.
