Key Facts
Meet the Crystal Esprit!
The Crystal Esprit is like a floating hotel that takes people on adventures! It's a ship that used to be called other names, like Lady Diana and Aurora I. Now, it’s called National Geographic Islander II and it sails to special places.
It’s a cozy ship, perfect for exploring the ocean and seeing new sights. Think of it as a moving home that visits beautiful islands and coastlines, carrying explorers and adventurers.
A Ship with Many Names!
This ship has a long story, like a character in a book! It was first built in Germany a long, long time ago, in 1988. It floated out of the factory in 1989 and was finished in 1991.
Then, it was bought by a company called Star Cruises and got a new name, Megastar Taurus. It sailed for many years until 2008. Later, in 2015, another company called Crystal Cruises gave it the name Crystal Esprit.
It was a very fancy ship!
Sailing to New Adventures!
What makes the Crystal Esprit special is where it goes and what it does! It’s now called National Geographic Islander II and it’s going to sail to the amazing Galapagos Islands. These islands are famous for having unique animals that you can’t find anywhere else in the world, like giant tortoises and funny-looking birds.
The ship helps people explore these special places and learn all about nature.
A Home on the Waves!
The Crystal Esprit is designed to be a comfortable place for travelers. It’s not a giant cruise ship like you might see in movies, but a more intimate vessel. This means it can go to smaller, more special places that bigger ships can’t reach. It’s like having a cozy home that moves with you, allowing you to wake up to a new, beautiful view every single day. It’s a wonderful way to see the world!
