Chiba Prefecture

Chiba Prefecture is like a big, friendly neighbor to Tokyo, Japan's capital city! It's on an island called Honshu, facing the big blue Pacific Ocean. Think of it as being on the eastern side of the giant Tokyo area. It has neighbors like Ibaraki to the north and Saitama to the northwest. It's a place with lots of coastline and some beautiful peninsulas that hug the water.

It's mostly made up of the Bōsō Peninsula, which is like a long arm reaching out into the ocean. This peninsula helps create Tokyo Bay, a very important place for boats. The weather is usually nice, not too hot and not too cold, perfect for playing outside!

Guess what? Chiba is home to some super exciting places! It has Narita International Airport, where planes fly all over the world. Lots of people live in Chiba, more than 6 million! That's like filling up a giant stadium with people over and over again. The main city is also called Chiba, and it's a busy place with lots of buildings and things to do. People in Chiba speak Japanese, just like in the rest of Japan.
