Japan

Japan is a country made up of lots and lots of islands! It's like a necklace of land floating in the big Pacific Ocean. There are four super big islands, and then over 14,000 smaller ones! Most of Japan is covered in tall mountains, which means people usually live near the coast, where it's flatter. It can be sunny and warm in some places and snowy in others, like a winter wonderland!

A super long time ago, Japan had emperors who were like kings. Then, powerful warriors called samurai, who were like brave knights, became very important. They wore cool armor and carried swords! For a while, Japan decided to not let people from other countries visit or trade, which was called being 'isolated'. But then, ships from America came, and Japan started to trade with the world again!

People in Japan love to create amazing things! They are famous for their delicious food, like sushi, and for making super fun cartoons called anime and cool comic books called manga. They also make awesome video games that many kids around the world love to play! Japanese culture is full of interesting traditions and is known for being very polite and friendly.

Japan is super good at making things! They build lots of cars that people drive all over the world. They are also amazing at making robots, like the ones you might see in movies or cartoons! Many people work in factories making these cool things, and Japan is known for being very smart and creative when it comes to technology.
