Who is King Charles III?

Imagine being the boss of lots of countries, like a super-duper leader! That's kind of what King Charles III is. He's the King of the United Kingdom and 14 other places called Commonwealth realms. He was born a long, long time ago, in 1948, when his grandma was the Queen. Now, he's the King, and it's his job to help lead and represent these countries. He's like the captain of a very big team!

A Royal Adventure!

King Charles had a very special job even before he was King. He was the 'heir apparent,' which means he was next in line to be King after his mom, Queen Elizabeth II. He went to special schools, even one far away in Australia! He also learned to fly planes and sail boats in the Navy. That sounds like a lot of fun, doesn't it? He even got married and has two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Caring for Our World!

Guess what? King Charles really cares about our planet! He's been talking about saving the environment and protecting nature for a super long time, even before many people were. He loves old buildings and wants to keep them safe. He also supports farming that's good for the Earth. He's like a superhero for nature, trying to make sure we have a healthy planet for everyone!

Becoming the King!

When his mom, Queen Elizabeth II, sadly passed away in 2022, Charles became the King. He was 73 years old, which made him the oldest person ever to become King of the United Kingdom! He had a big, fancy ceremony called a coronation to officially become King. It's a very important job, and he's been busy with his royal duties, even though he's also been dealing with some health news recently.
