Where Did the Soldiers Come From?
Long ago, during a big war called World War I, soldiers from the British Empire were trying to move through a place called the Judean Hills. They wanted to get past a town called Nablus. The Ottoman Empire's soldiers were already there, guarding the roads like a big, strong wall. It was like a game of tag, but with real soldiers and important goals!

After lots of fighting and even planes dropping bombs, the Ottoman soldiers had to leave Nablus. British soldiers and brave horse riders rode into the town. They also captured lots of Ottoman soldiers who were trying to escape. It was a big win for the British Empire, and they got to control the area around Nablus.
Why This Battle Was Super Important!
This battle, along with another one nearby, was like the final push to end a big war in that part of the world. After this, the British soldiers kept going and even captured a big city called Damascus! It showed that the British Empire was strong and helped bring the whole war to an end much faster.
