Long ago, in a land called Arabia, there were two big groups of people. One group, called the Quraysh, lived in a city called Mecca. The other group, who followed a man named Muhammad, had moved to a city called Medina.

The Quraysh were unhappy because Muhammad and his followers were getting stronger. They also had disagreements about how people should live. So, they decided to have a big fight to show who was in charge.

This fight happened near a place called Badr.

The Big Day at Badr!

On a very special day, March 13th, 624 CE, the two groups met near Badr. Muhammad had a smaller army, maybe around 300 brave people. The Quraysh army was much bigger, almost 1000 strong!

It was like a small school class facing a whole school! First, some brave fighters from each side had one-on-one duels. Then, the bigger army charged, shooting arrows.

But Muhammad's army fought back with all their might!

Who Won and Why It Was Awesome!

Guess what? Even though they were outnumbered, Muhammad's smaller army won the battle! It was a huge surprise! They were able to defeat the bigger Quraysh army. This victory was super important because it showed everyone that Muhammad and his followers were strong and determined. It made more people want to join them and believe in their message. It was like a small team beating the champions!

Superstar People of Badr!

The leader of Muhammad's army was Muhammad himself, a very important person. On the other side, the leader of the Quraysh army was a man named Amr ibn Hishām, but many people called him Abu Jahl because he was known for being stubborn. There were many brave warriors on both sides who fought with courage. The victory at Badr helped Muhammad become a more well-known and respected leader.
