The Amazing Arctic Circle!

The Arctic Circle is like an invisible fence way up north on our planet Earth. It's a special line of latitude, which is a measurement of how far north or south a place is from the middle of the Earth (the Equator). Think of it like drawing a belt around the Earth.

The Arctic Circle is the northernmost of these special belts. It's so far north that it has some super cool and weird weather tricks up its sleeve!

Have you ever stayed up super late? Well, around the Arctic Circle, the sun can stay up all night! This is called the 'midnight sun.' But then, during winter, the sun can hide for days and days! This is called 'polar night.' It's like the Earth is playing a long game of peek-a-boo with the sun. The closer you get to the very top of the Earth, the longer the sun plays hide-and-seek.
