Albania

Imagine a country shaped like a dragon, nestled in a corner of Europe called Southeast Europe. Albania has a long, beautiful coastline along two big seas: the Adriatic and the Ionian. It’s like having a giant playground right next to the water!

It also has neighbors like Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Greece, who it shares land with. The country is filled with amazing landscapes, from tall, snowy mountains that touch the sky to flat, green fields perfect for growing yummy food.

Albania is super old, with people living there for thousands of years! Long ago, brave tribes called Illyrians lived here. Then, ancient Greeks built cool towns by the sea.

Later, it became part of big empires like the Roman and Byzantine Empires. For a long time, a brave hero named Skanderbeg led the fight against invaders, protecting his home. Albania finally became its own country in 1912, after many adventures and changes.

Did you know Albania has over 11 million visitors who come to see its beauty? That’s more people than live in many big cities! The capital city is called Tirana, and it’s the biggest and busiest place.

Albania is also a place where everyone gets to go to school for free, from kindergarten all the way through high school. They also have free healthcare, which means doctors help everyone when they are sick.

People in Albania work in lots of different jobs! Many people work in places that help visitors, like hotels and restaurants, because so many people love to visit. Others work in factories making things or in shops.

The country is working hard to become even more developed, like a super-smart student getting better and better. They are even talking to other countries in Europe about joining a big team called the European Union.
