Key Facts
Who Are the Ahmadis?
Imagine a group of people who follow a special path within Islam. They are called Ahmadi Muslims, or Ahmadis for short! They believe their faith, Islam, is like a super important message for everyone.
They think this message needs to be shared in its purest form, like a sparkling clean treasure. They believe a special person named Mirza Ghulam Ahmad came to help bring Islam back to its original, peaceful teachings, like making sure a favorite game is played by all the rules!
A Journey from India!
Ahmadis started their journey a long, long time ago, in a place called British India, which is now India and Pakistan. It was in the late 1800s, when horses and carriages were common! A man named Mirza Ghulam Ahmad started this community.
He believed he was sent to help people understand Islam better and to bring peace to the world. Today, Ahmadi Muslims live in so many places, like Africa, Asia, and even Europe, spreading their message of peace and kindness.
Sharing Peace and Kindness
What's super cool about Ahmadi Muslims is how much they love to share their message! They were actually the very first Muslim group to send people to places like Britain to share their beliefs. They have a strong tradition of helping others and spreading peace.
They believe that by following the teachings of Islam and the guidance of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, they can help make the world a better, more peaceful place for everyone, like building a giant playground where everyone can play together happily.
A Big Family Around the World
The Ahmadiyya community is like a giant, organized family that has grown to include millions of people! They are found in over 200 countries and territories, which is more than the number of countries in the whole world! Their leader, called a Caliph, guides them.
They work together to share their message of peace and understanding, showing that people from all different places can come together with a shared belief in kindness and goodness.
