He has to use his brain to figure out the answers. If he succeeds, he gets to marry the princess. But if he fails, his life is over! It's a high-stakes game of wits.
A Secret Name Game!
Prince Calaf is super smart and answers all three riddles correctly! Yay! But guess what? Princess Turandot still doesn't want to marry him. Oh no! Prince Calaf is very clever and gives her a chance to win. He tells her, 'If you can find out my name before tomorrow morning, I will let you kill me. But if you can't, you have to marry me!' It's a race against time to discover the secret name.
Who Made This Amazing Story?
This opera was mostly written by a famous Italian composer named Giacomo Puccini. He loved creating music that made people feel all sorts of emotions. Sadly, he didn't get to finish Turandot before he passed away. Another composer named Franco Alfano helped finish the music. The opera was first performed in 1926, and people have loved its dramatic story and beautiful songs ever since.
