Tsarskoye Selo: A Royal Playground!

Tsarskoye Selo means 'Tsar's Village' in Russian! It was a special place, like a giant playground, for Russia's royal family and their important guests. Today, this amazing place is part of a town called Pushkin.

Long ago, this place was called Tsarskoye Selo. But after the rulers changed, it got a new name: Detskoye Selo, which means 'Children's Village'! Can you imagine living in a place called Children's Village? Later, it was renamed Pushkin, after a famous poet who wrote wonderful stories. It's like changing your name from 'Bob' to 'Superstar Bob'!
