Titanic: The Gigantic Ship That Sailed the Seas

The Titanic was like a giant floating hotel, the biggest ship ever when it was built! It was so long, it was longer than three football fields put together. People called it 'unsinkable' because it had special rooms inside that could close off if water came in. It was built to be super safe and super fancy, with a swimming pool and even a gym!

On its very first trip, the Titanic set sail from England to America. On board were rich people going on vacation and also many families hoping for a new life in America. They were all excited for the adventure. The ship was like a moving city, with restaurants, cozy cabins, and lots of people working to make sure everyone was happy.

During the night, the Titanic bumped into a giant iceberg. Imagine a mountain of ice floating in the ocean! The iceberg made a hole in the ship. Even though it was called unsinkable, the ship started to sink. It was a very sad and scary time for everyone on board.

Sadly, not everyone could fit into the small lifeboats. This taught people that even the biggest, strongest ships need enough lifeboats for everyone. Because of what happened to the Titanic, new rules were made to make sure all ships are safer for passengers and crew.
