Belfast

Imagine a big island called Great Britain. Belfast is a city on the northeastern coast of another island, Ireland, right next to Great Britain. It sits by a beautiful bay called Belfast Lough.

The most famous ship ever built here was the Titanic, the biggest and most luxurious ship of its time. It was so big it could fit almost three football fields end-to-end! Sadly, the Titanic sank on its first trip, but its story is still told in Belfast today.

Belfast is full of exciting places to visit. You can explore the Titanic Belfast museum, which tells the amazing story of the ship. There are also beautiful parks like the Botanic Gardens, where you can see colorful flowers and even a giant glass house that looks like a fancy greenhouse.

The city has lots of colorful street art, like giant paintings on the sides of buildings, telling stories of Belfast's past.

People in Belfast are called 'Belfast folk' or 'Belfast people'. They speak English, and many also speak Irish Gaelic, which is an older language. They love music, storytelling, and celebrating.
