Terry was a super special dog, a Cairn Terrier with a fluffy coat and bright eyes. She was born way back in 1933, a long, long time ago! Terry wasn't just any pet; she was a movie star! She lived with her trainers, Carl Spitz and Gabrielle Quinn, who taught her amazing tricks. Terry loved to perform and was very good at it, which is why she got to be in movies.
Her Most Famous Role!
Terry's most famous job was playing Toto, Dorothy's loyal dog in the movie The Wizard of Oz. Imagine a little dog running alongside Dorothy as she skipped down the yellow brick road! Terry was so good as Toto that people loved her. She was so popular that after the movie, her name was officially changed from Terry to Toto! That's how much everyone adored her.

Being a movie dog was exciting! Terry got to travel to film sets and work with actors. She was a small dog, about the size of a fluffy cat, but she had a big personality on screen.
