Sydney Heads

Imagine two huge rocky arms reaching out into the ocean to welcome ships into a big, sparkly harbor. That's what the Sydney Heads are like! They are big pieces of land called headlands that guard the entrance to Sydney Harbour.

Some are on the north side, like North Head and Quarantine Head, and others are on the south, like South Head and Dunbar Head.
