Who Played in the Big Game?

Super Bowl XLVIII was a humongous American football game! It was like the championship game for all the best teams. The Denver Broncos, who were super good at scoring points, played against the Seattle Seahawks, who were amazing at stopping other teams from scoring. It was a showdown between two of the best teams in the whole NFL! The Seahawks ended up winning this exciting game.

Brrr! A Game in the Winter!

This game was extra special because it was played outside in New Jersey in February. That means it was super cold! It was the very first Super Bowl ever played in a cold city where it could snow or be freezing. Imagine playing football when your fingers are numb! The Seahawks and Broncos had to wear special gear to stay warm while they battled it out on the field.

WOW! The Seahawks Soared High!

The Seattle Seahawks played so incredibly well that they won by a HUGE score! They scored a touchdown just 12 seconds into the game, which is super fast! They also scored in lots of different ways, like catching an interception and running it all the way for a touchdown. It was like they had superpowers that day, and they beat the Broncos by a score of 43 to 8!

Who Was the Star Player?

Even though the Seahawks won by a lot, they still had one player who was the MOST amazing! His name was Malcolm Smith, and he played defense. He did so many awesome things, like catching a ball that the other team threw and running it all the way for a touchdown.

He also stopped the other team from scoring many times. Because he was so fantastic, he was named the Most Valuable Player, or MVP, of the game!
