Meet the Giant Stone Circle!
Stonehenge is a circle made of HUGE stones in England. Some of these stones are as tall as a house and weigh as much as 50 elephants! They were put there a very, very long time ago, even before castles were built. It's like a giant puzzle that people built for reasons we're still trying to figure out. It's a special place that makes you wonder about the people who built it.
Who Built This Stone Mystery?
Nobody knows for sure who built Stonehenge or exactly why! But we think it was built by people who lived in Britain thousands of years ago. They didn't have big machines like we do today. They had to move these massive stones using ropes, logs, and lots of teamwork. It took many, many years to build, with people adding stones and changing the circle over time.
Why Did They Build It?
People think Stonehenge might have been a special place for important ceremonies or a giant calendar. The stones line up with the sun on certain days, like the longest day of summer. Maybe they used it to know when to plant crops or celebrate. It was probably a very important gathering spot for ancient communities, a place for celebrations and remembering things.

One of the coolest things about Stonehenge is that some of the stones came from very far away! The big blue stones traveled hundreds of miles. How did they move them? That's a big mystery! Today, Stonehenge is a famous landmark that people visit from all over the world to see its ancient wonder and think about the past.
