Soekarno-Hatta International Airport

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is like a super busy city just for airplanes! It's located near Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Think of it as a giant playground where huge metal birds get ready for their adventures.

It has two big runways, which are like super long roads for planes to zoom down before they fly into the sky. There are also special buildings called terminals where people wait for their flights and where the planes get ready to go.

When a plane lands, it's like a big puzzle to get it ready for its next trip. First, it taxis to a special parking spot. Then, people called ground crews check everything to make sure it's safe.

They fill it up with fuel, which is like giving it a big drink of special juice. Passengers get on, and the pilots get instructions for their flight. Then, the plane drives to the runway, speeds up, and WHOOSH!

This airport is like a giant bridge connecting Indonesia to the rest of the world. People use it to visit family, go on exciting vacations, or even for important business trips. This amazing airport wasn't always here. It was built a long time ago, starting in 1985. It was named after two very important people in Indonesia's history: Soekarno, the first president, and Mohammad Hatta, the first vice president. They helped Indonesia become its own country. Building such a big place took lots of hard work and smart planning!
