Knights vs. a Mighty Army!

Once upon a time, on a beautiful island called Rhodes, lived brave knights who were like superheroes! They lived in a super strong castle with tall walls. But one day, a huge army from the Ottoman Empire came to take their island. This was a big fight called a siege. The Ottoman army wanted to control the sea nearby, and Rhodes was in the way!

A Long, Tough Fight

The knights were very good at defending their home. Their castle walls were super strong, like a giant shield. But the Ottoman army had amazing weapons, like giant cannons that could shoot big rocks! They also dug tunnels under the walls, like sneaky moles. For six whole months, the battle raged on, day and night.

Boom! Crash! Walls Come Down!

Even though the knights fought bravely, the Ottoman army's cannons were too powerful. BOOM! The cannons blasted the walls again and again. CRASH! The walls started to crumble. The Ottoman soldiers also used clever tricks, like digging under the walls and making them fall down. It was a very difficult time for the knights.

A New Ruler for Rhodes

After many months of fighting, the knights couldn't hold on anymore. The Ottoman army had won. They took control of Rhodes. This meant the Ottoman Empire now had a very important place to control the sea. It was a big change for the island and for the knights who had lived there for so long.
