The Great Siege of Orleans!

Once upon a time, in a land called France, the city of Orleans was in big trouble. Soldiers from a different country, England, surrounded the city like a giant hug that wouldn't let go. They wanted to take over Orleans!

For many, many months, the people inside the city were scared and running out of food. It was like being trapped in a playground with no way out. The English soldiers built forts all around, trying to make the people give up.

Then, something amazing happened! A young woman named Joan of Arc arrived. She was only about 17 years old, but she was very brave and believed she was sent by God to help France. Joan wore shiny armor and carried a special flag. She told the French soldiers that they could win if they believed in themselves and fought hard. She was like a super-powered captain leading her team!

Joan of Arc inspired the French soldiers to fight with all their might. They attacked the English forts, and Joan was right there with them, holding her flag high. It was a huge battle! The English soldiers were surprised by how brave the French had become. After only a few days of fighting with Joan there, the English soldiers decided to leave. They packed up their forts and went away!

Saving Orleans was a super big deal! It was like winning the most important game ever. Before Joan came, it looked like the English might win the whole war. But when Orleans was saved, the French people felt hopeful again. It showed everyone that they could fight back and win. This victory helped France start to win the war and become a strong country again. Joan of Arc became a legendary hero!
