Sagrada Família

Sagrada Família is a super special church in Spain that's been under construction for a VERY long time! It's like a giant LEGO castle that people are still adding pieces to. It's so tall, its tallest tower is even taller than a playground slide that goes up to the clouds! Designed by a genius named Antoni Gaudí, it looks like it grew right out of the ground, with curvy shapes and amazing details.

This amazing building started way back in 1882, even before your grandparents were born! A builder named Francisco de Paula del Villar began it, but then Antoni Gaudí took over and made it his own special dream. He worked on it for his whole life, and guess what? He's even buried inside! It's taken so long because it's paid for by people giving money, like a big community project.

Sagrada Família is famous because it's like no other building on Earth! It's decorated with sculptures of nature, like trees and animals, and its windows let in colorful light that makes the inside glow. It's so unique that it's part of a special UNESCO World Heritage Site, which means it's recognized as super important for everyone to see and protect.

Even though it's been built for over 140 years, Sagrada Família isn't finished yet! It's the biggest unfinished church in the whole world. Builders are still working on the towers and decorations. They hope to finish the main parts by 2026, which is 100 years after Antoni Gaudí passed away. It's a testament to a dream that keeps on growing!
