Roxborough State Park

Roxborough State Park is a super cool place in Colorado, not too far from Denver. It's like a giant playground made of red sandstone rocks! These rocks are shaped by wind and water over a super long time, making them look like amazing sculptures. The park is big, about as big as 6,000 football fields put together! It's a special place where nature gets to show off its amazing art.

This park wasn't always a park. A long, long time ago, these red rocks were forming. Then, people decided it was such a special place that they made it a park in 1975. That's almost as old as your parents or even your grandparents! It's so amazing that scientists and nature lovers called it a National Natural Landmark in 1980, which is like giving it a special gold star for being so wonderful.

The most amazing thing about Roxborough is its dramatic red sandstone formations. They look like giant, colorful sculptures carved by nature.
