Queen Elizabeth II

Imagine a queen who was on the throne for a super, super long time! That was Queen Elizabeth II. She was born a long, long time ago, in 1926. When she was a young girl, she loved horses and dogs. She became queen when she was only 25 years old. That's like becoming the boss of your whole school when you're still in elementary school! She lived in big, fancy palaces and wore beautiful crowns.

Queen Elizabeth II's life was like a grand adventure. She was born in London, a big city. Her dad was King George VI, and when he passed away, she became the Queen.

She promised to be a good queen for her whole life. She traveled all over the world, meeting lots of different people and seeing amazing places. She even met presidents and other kings and queens!

She was a symbol of her country for many, many years.

Queen Elizabeth II was special because she was a constant presence for so many people. For over 70 years, she was the Queen of the United Kingdom and many other countries. Think about how many teachers you've had in your whole life – she was queen for much longer than that!

She was a symbol of stability and tradition. People knew that no matter what happened in the world, the Queen would be there.
