Where Did They Live?

Imagine a land with super tall mountains and deep, green valleys! That's ancient Peru. It's a place with lots of different weather, from hot deserts near the ocean to chilly peaks way up high. These ancient people lived all over this amazing landscape, finding clever ways to build homes and grow food in every kind of spot. They were real adventurers in their own land!

When Did They Live?

These ancient cultures didn't all live at the same time. It's like a big timeline with different groups popping up and fading away. Some were around when dinosaurs might have still roamed (just kidding!), but most lived thousands of years ago. We call these different times 'periods,' and each one had its own special way of life. It’s like different chapters in a super old storybook!

What Did They Do?

These people were super smart builders and farmers! They learned to grow yummy crops like potatoes and corn, even on steep mountain sides. They also made beautiful pottery and fancy gold jewelry. Some groups were so good at organizing that they built huge cities and even empires, like the famous Incas who came later. They left behind amazing ruins for us to see today!

Why We Still Care!

Even though these people lived so long ago, they teach us so much! They show us how people can be super creative and adapt to tough places. The things they invented, like farming techniques, helped feed millions. Plus, their art and buildings are like treasures that tell us stories about their lives. Learning about them helps us understand how people lived before us and how we live now!
