Organization of American States

The Organization of American States, or OAS, is like a giant club for countries in North and South America. Think of it as a big neighborhood where all the countries try to be good neighbors! They meet up to talk about important things like keeping peace, helping each other with problems, and making sure everyone is treated fairly.

It's a place where leaders from different countries can share ideas and work together to make their communities better for everyone. They want to make sure everyone in the Americas can live happily and safely.

Lots of countries are part of the OAS! There are 35 member countries, which means 35 different nations get to join the fun and the important talks. This includes big countries like the United States and Canada, and smaller ones too.

They all come from different places, speak different languages, and have their own unique traditions. But when they come to the OAS, they all agree to work together. It's like a giant potluck where everyone brings something special to share, and together they make something wonderful.
