Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution

After the leaders in Washington D.C. said yes, the amendment had to be approved by many states. It was like getting approval from all your friends before starting a big project. It took until August 18, 1920, for enough states to say 'yes!' That's when the Nineteenth Amendment officially became a rule for the whole country.

This meant that millions of women could finally cast their votes and have their voices heard in elections. It was a super important day for fairness!
