Moscow

Imagine a city so big it's like a giant playground! That's Moscow, the capital of Russia. It's located in the western part of this huge country. Moscow is like the boss of Russia, where important decisions are made. It's a place filled with colorful buildings, grand palaces, and lots of people rushing around. Think of it as the main stage where Russia's story unfolds!

Moscow wasn't always this big and busy. It started as a small fort a super long time ago, way back in 1147. Over hundreds of years, it grew and grew, like a snowball rolling down a hill. Kings and queens lived here, and amazing buildings were built. It has seen so many exciting events, from royal parties to important meetings that changed the world!

Moscow is famous for so many things! The most famous is probably the Red Square, a giant open space with colorful buildings like St. Basil's Cathedral, which looks like a giant candy castle! There's also the Kremlin, a super old fortress with golden domes that shine in the sun. People love visiting Moscow to see these incredible sights and learn about Russia's history.

Lots and lots of people call Moscow home! More than 13 million people live here, making it one of the biggest cities in Europe. Imagine a school bus – Moscow is so big that if you lined up all the people, they would fill thousands and thousands of school buses! People here work in all sorts of jobs, from making art to building things and helping others.
