He loved his country, India, so much that he worked as a leader for many, many years. He was like the captain of a big ship, helping to guide India through important times. He even became the Prime Minister, which is the most important job in the government!

Morarji Desai was a big fan of peace. He wanted India to be friends with its neighbors, especially Pakistan. Even though they sometimes had disagreements, he tried his best to make things calm and friendly. He believed that talking and being kind was much better than fighting. He even got a special award from Pakistan for trying to bring peace between the two countries. How cool is that?

Guess what? Morarji Desai was the oldest person ever to be the Prime Minister of India! He was 81 years old when he took the job.
